The ninth session of the World Urban Forum (WUF9) will be held from 7 to 13 February 2018 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Under the theme "Cities 2030 Cities for All: the implementation of the new urban program", the WUF9 will focus on the New Urban Agenda as a tool and accelerator for the realization of the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals.
The Forum will mobilize urban actors from national, subnational and local governments, civil society, the private sector and universities to share knowledge and solutions for sustainable urban development; facilitate the contribution of those interested in monitoring and reporting on the new urban agenda; and facilitate strong multi-stakeholder partnerships.
The Global Taskforce (GTF) will participate in the event, which will be organized around three main moments:
1. A session of the World Assembly of Local and Regional Governments
2. High-level dialogue with ministers on implementation
3. Dialogue between stakeholders and civil society
We will keep you informed about the final program and the side events in the coming weeks.
