The COP 23, organized under the presidency of the Fiji Islands, will be hosted by the government of Germany and the City of Bonn from 6 to 17 November 2017.
Local and Regional Governments will be mobilized for the Climate Summit of Local and Regional Leaders on the 12th of November.
A number of thematic days will be held during the first week, as well as high-level roundtables on Monday 13 and Tuesday 14 for Non-State Parties (UN, ONG, LRGs, and Business).
10- 11 November: THEMATIC DAYS
Sessions focusing on Forest, Energy, Water, Ocean, Agriculture and human settlements will be held on 10 and 11 November.
Human Settlement Day
The local and regional government constituency and its partners are leading the organization of Human Settlement Day on the 11 of October in the Bonn Zone, from 10.00 am to 8.00 pm.
12 November: CLIMATE SUMMIT OF LOCAL AND REGIONAL LEADERS
The Climate Summit of Local and Regional Leaders will take place in the Bonn Zone.
The number of registrations to date already exceeds the capacity of the venue (500). Political representatives will have priority access. An overflow room will be available for another 300 participants.
The Climate Summit of Local and Regional Leaders will revolve around four key themes:
Session 1 - New global frameworks, new models for action: Integrating climate and sustainability across all sectors
Session 2 - Collaborative climate action: Forging ahead through community and private sector engagement
Session 3 - Joining forces for action in climate vulnerable regions
Session 4 - Raising the bar through coordinated action across all levels of government

CITIES AND REGIONS PAVILION
The Cities & Regions Pavilion is the home base for local and regional governments, offering a space for meetings, briefings, networking and partnership building throughout the full two weeks of the UNFCCC COP23.
The Cities & Regions Pavilion is organized in a special partnership with the German Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB).
The Cities & Regions Pavilion is located in the COP23 Bonn Zone, at the entrance of the Exhibition Center and directly across from the press and media center.
