The programme reveals the strong delegation of local and regional leaders and representatives of local governments that will be in New York to give inputs on the New Urban Agenda
Over 100 representatives of sub-national governments from around the world will be at UN Headquarters in New York from 15-17 May 2016 to share their vision for the New Urban Agenda and call for states to listen to cities at Habitat III.
Delegates will present key recommendations on Habitat III and recommendations of the constituency from a regional perspective.
Among the issues up for discussion are: transformative commitments for a sustainable urban development, how establish a supportive national, sub-national and local framework, how to plan and manage urban spatial development, and the implementation and follow-up of the New Urban Agenda.
